PGP’s school-based programming creates a bridge between school & home, directly supporting students and their families in both settings. We are experienced in working with youth who endure behavioral & emotional challenges that impact daily functioning in all life domains, including school avoidance & refusal, with a focus on motivating & inspiring youth to address the underpinnings of challenges that impact their availability to participate in a traditional school day. Using an interdisciplinary approach and partnership with school personnel, this program is designed to be highly individualized for each student, developed in close collaboration with CST, youth & their parents to work through barriers. Our services are meant to complement supports already provided and available to youth in that setting, with the flexibility of maintaining full focus on that one student.
We also offer students the opportunity to be involved in our bakery setting, through interactive, dynamic group-based activities. We guide positive interactions, and educate the students in the inner workings of the bakery, while assisting them in strengthening and developing behavioral/emotional control.
