Therapy & Behavioral Services

Our staff is a mix of licensed psychotherapists and paraprofessionals.

Therapist specialties include treating anxiety and mood disorders, attention deficit issues, behavioral disorders, interpersonal issues, chronic illness, health and wellness, practical problem solving and coaching, familial relational conflicts, parent education and guidance, trauma, resilience building, life changes, abuse/neglect, school avoidance.

Nonclinical support is available via mentoring and behavioral assistance to address goals such as job readiness, resume writing, and job searching, organization, household management, behavioral management, independent living skills, socialization, resource linkage, exploration of interests.

 

THERAPY

PGP therapists focus on developing individual strengths: to recognize inherent resilience, increase insight & knowledge, understanding & communication, through the creation of emotional & behavioral interventions and strategies to increase overall healthy functioning. All therapists are NJ-licensed LSW/LCSW or LAC/LPC.

BEHAVIORAL ASSISTANCE (BA)

Our BA's work closely with each youth & family, collaborating with their therapist to implement strategies to manage behavior, strengthen & develop concrete skills to support the youth at home, in school, and in the community.

MENTORING

Mentors focus on experiential activities to strengthen & develop confidence, social skills, expressive vocabulary, and independent living skills.

Mentors support youth and parents to successfully build linkages through positive interactions and connections at the Papa Ganache bakery and in their home communities: foundational skills, independent living skills & 'how to be an adult', socialization, job readiness, resource linkage, budgeting, exploration of interests, parent coaching.
